PRESS RELEASE FOR MEMBERS OF THE 2022 ALL-STATE CHORUS
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Each year, approximately 3000 of the best high school musicians in the state audition for the Nebraska All-State Band, Chorus, Jazz Band and Orchestra which are sponsored by the Nebraska Music Education Association. Selection as a member of one of these groups is one of the highest music honors attainable in Nebraska. Wayne High School had seven student musicians among the 440 singers selected to be a part of the 2022 All-State Chorus. WHS singers included: Norah Armstrong - Soprano II, Olivia Hanson - Alto I, Laura Hasemann - Alto II, Aidan Bohnert - Tenor I, Eli Barner - Tenor II, Colby Raulston - Bass I, and Adrian Klinetobe - Bass II.
Guest conductor for the Nebraska All-State Choir was Dr. Sandra Snow, Professor of Choral Conducting and Music Education at the Michigan State University College of Music. The chorus rehearsed Wednesday, November 16th through Friday, November 18th on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus, the host site of the 2022 NMEA Conference/Clinic. A final public concert was held on Friday, November 18th, 4:30 p.m. at the Lied Center for the Performing Arts on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus.
