Wayne speech results--Conference
Congratulations to the following members of the Speech Team, who placed at the Mid-State Conference Tournament Invitational, hosted by Boone Central on Saturday:
The Duet Acting team of Ceilus Ibarra and Olivia Hanson, seventh; the Oral Interpretation of Drama team of Ashton Brandow, Orion Spieker, Maddie Franta, and Easton Blecke, sixth; Ceilus Ibarra, sixth in Poetry; Maiah Davis, fifth in Extemporaneous; Alec Shaffer, fifth in Humorous Prose; Alondra Vega, fourth in Serious Prose; and Colby Raulston, fourth in Program Oral Interpretation.
Extra special congratulations to Parker Kesting in Extemporaneous and Ava Elliot in Persuasive, both of whom garnered runner-up Conference honors in their respective events.
Wayne is proud to be represented by Maiah Davis on the All-Conference Team, who earned her spot by winning top honors in Persuasive Speaking.
Next up for the Blue Devils is the B-3 District meet hosted by Wayne High this coming Saturday at the high school.
