The Parent Connection
Parents are an important part of our K – 8 School Counseling Program. The counselor welcomes questions and concerns from parents regarding their child’s social or emotional development. Our greatest successes are a result of working together for the benefit of our students. The counselor works with individual students who request help or who are referred by teachers, parents, and administrators. Social Skills groups are offered to assist students who need additional instruction and social skills practice. One of the most rewarding parts of the program is helping students to apply skills taught in classroom guidance to everyday situations. Communication with parents is a vital part of this process.
